I used one for a ground blind several years ago. Wrapped in burlap and brushed it in. Worked well

I've used them for stands for several years now after the last tree cut there are no trees substantial enough to hang a stand on.

I also began placing the cages around young fruit trees to prevent deer from damaging them.
