Need help IDng mauser

Bought this from a dealer at RK awhile ago. Advertised as 8mm, which it is not.
I'm unsure what it is!
Scrubbed receiver, no caliber markings or imports, "OT-44434"
Straight grip, no through bolt, slings on left side.

I’m no expert but it looks like the Spanish 7mm Mausers that has been coming in recently except yours is in perfect condition lol and no markings

7mm, scrubbed receiver. Have a gunsmith verify caliber and head space.

that is true and I forgot about that, they imported some of those as 308 conversions... shoulda remembered I own one lolol

Def looks spanish....I’ll bet it’s had some sort of caliber conversion because it’s scrubbed so well

Thanks guys. muzzle caliber tests indicate possibly 308, also chambers well.
by bolt it is not a 98, but 96 with only one hole gas port.
Recommendations for a local mauser smith??

I'd say Spanish m1916. Many were converted from 7mm. Lot's of info out there on the interweb.

Apparently that's it. m1916 convert to 7.62 CETME.
