Chicken wings, Select grade beef, ox tails, ribs, salt pork.....loads of trash foods have become "boutique" as far as pricing goes.Growing up, I was fed beef tripe from time to time, mainly because it was cheap. Grew up, got a job, supported myself, moved out and never ate tripe again.
I saw some in Publix yesterday @ $11/lb! From trash meal to gourmet delicacy in less than 50 years.
