what is the round-ish object in the wrist area that shaped like a can behind the rear sling on this k98(best to my knowledge its a k98 due to the hole in the rear of the stock). sorry picture was taken with a less then modern camera

Thats where you stick your firing pin while you disassemble the bolt. Allows you to compress the spring to remove the safety lever

I think thats just holding the rile up. Looks like a stick grenade sticking out of his boot
