Looking for data on a Zero 147 gr jhp as far as powder ...........

The Lyman # 49 shows Minimum load of Win 231 is 3.5 grains giving 855 fps. Maximum load of Win 231 is 4.1 grains giving 957 fps. This is with a 147 grain Jacketed bullet.

Don't have THAT Manual, however...Lyman's "Pistol and Revolver Handbook", Third Edition, shows NO Data with either Win 231 OR HP38 & 147-gr. Boolits...FWIW, the ONLY 147-grainer they list is a CAST one...HTH....mikey357

I've used power pistol, unique and n320 with 147 gn bullets. I ended up going with unique with how efficient it is and cheap, I liked it better than power pistol, and I like the price over n320. Not sure on the burn rate of win 231, but faster burning powders with a light charge has been my direction.
