To me Nikon has clearer optics and is a great value for the money.

Before you buy a scope, you need to ask yourself a few questions. How often do I shoot ? How good a shot am I with iron sights ? Give me an AR and I'll hit the bulls-eye all day long with a standard AR and iron sights.. The only thing a scope does is enhance the skill you already posses. It doesn't make you a better shot. So if you're a casual shooter, buy the cheaper stuff.. people that spend 2k and up on a scope are for the most part , well, retarded .. there are a few that can actually benefit from a pricey scope, but I haven't met them .. most people get lost the minute you mention eye relief or mil dots ..

Nikon !! I got em on all my guns. The 4.5x14 in the buckmaster series is my favorite. I've got it on 3 of my hunting rifles.

I have leupolds on all of my rifles but I love my Nikon binos. Good luck with your decision.

I have Leupold on my center fire rifles and Nikon on my black powder. I went with the Nikon on the black powder because it was the only silver scope in my price range and in stock at basspro that would match the stainless barrel. I opted for the 3-9x40 prostaff BDC. Really nice scope.
