Probably can't get enough Reloader 19 in a 308 case to cause an overload, unless he seriously compacts the powder. But, based on the OP, that may be what he does.

I'm guessing he's going to get low velocity results, with a lot of unburnt powder.

Unless he puts a heavy crimp on the rounds (unlikely) he will have more unburned powder with magnum primers than with standard primers.

I think you should tell him to use tite group to reload his 308's. After all he does want good groupings right? Also with those magnum primers he should fill the case to the shoulder with tite group.

A cursory Internet search should clear up the powder type and a trip to academy should take care of the measuring scoop. He needs a scale though I would think.

RL19 is really slow for 308. I suspect he could fill the case and not get much done. That said. He's an idiot. You should film it so atleast you can say I told you so over and over again.
