Kicked out of Dekalb Farmers Market

I’ve shopped at the Dekalb Farmers Market sine I was a kid. The place has signs that say no weapons allowed but I’ve never paid any attention because they hold no legal bearing. Well, today I walked in with nothing but a t shirt to conceal my weapon. I was with my wife and our 2 year only boy. A gentleman immediately approached me and said “Sir, are you a police officer?” He didn’t introduce himself, but I knew what was happening. I said “no.” And he replied “There are no weapons allowed in here. You’ll have to leave it in the car” I looked at my wife and said “Honey it’s time to go.” I looked back at the man and said “I’ll shop somewhere else.”
Too bad, I always enjoyed their fresh produce and low prices

I assume that this is a private business enterprise that is located on privately owned property, right?

if so then it's their place so they can make the rules and policies for it.

If your weapon is properly concealed it is not an issue. You did the right thing. The last thing this world needs is a law abiding citizen making a scene with a gun.
