Jennings 22 Automatic***Found***

Made me think, my mom bought me and my brother one exactly like you are talking about in the 80’s also her one. We would shoot and have fun together with them. Mine is chrome with the white grips ( real pearl I’m sure) and still have the blue box. For a cheap little gun it’s worth a fortune to my mind. I relate to your wife’s memories
Yes sir, I didn’t grow up with grandparents around so the emotional attachments that she has is foreign to me. But when she reminisces about them, I do feel some envy.
Thanks for sharing and hold on to those memories.

Jennings J22 is a junk gun. Jam O'Matic.
But, I'll keep my eye out at local pawn shops and gun stores
for a used one in nickel or chrome plating in good condition.
If a shiny hard chrome / bright nickel finish is what the lost gun had,
I think that's what you should find for your wife as a replacement.
They aren't rare; you will find one if you look.

Thank you, sir!

Well that didn’t take too long and ended up being more rewarding for me than I ever imagined. Thanks to all of you that shared in my story and for sharing some of your memories with me. This truly is the best forum on the planet for our likeminded folks.

I’ve corresponded with several great people over the past week and have made new friends over a piece of metal that was designed to throw away after use. ODT is awesome and thanks again to everyone that took the time to read this.
