I can not believe how much cross bow prices have gone up. Seems like $300 was 'top of the line' when they were first made legal for hunting in Georgia. No way I'm spending $700+ on a setup. So is there anything for around $300 that is reliable and durable? :noidea:

im sure there are just haven't looked for a minute though. Prices have gone up but you can still get something decent. Last one we bought was the Horton for right at 400 and has been absolutely superb so I would just keeping look around and im sure you'll find something to suit you.

barnett jackal, seems pretty tough. my buddy accidentally ran his over with his 4 wheeler this weekend. held up pretty good. he's been hunting with it for about 3 years now.

Don't go with the barnett 400 them things are stupid big and heavy ..when shopping for a crossbow, i think little so you can get trough the bush ..jmo though ..
