I've had mine completely apart twice. It took me a couple hours the first time. The second time only about 45 minutes. While you have it apart, I recommend taking some Krazy glue and putting a little bit around the "Home Button" diaphragm to help it stay in place after heavy use.

A small flat-head screwdriver works better than a Phillips on the Phillips screws... Just a tip for you.

Depends on the Porvider. You can open up the Sim card slot and check the service provider. They can tell you if there is a out standing debt on the ESN/Phone. and still if so you can Jailbreak the phone to work on any service witha sim card. so if you want a Iphone and are willing to go through the process of replacing the $100.00 Glass which is extremely detailed and you have to do this from the back of the phone. It may be worth it to you GLW repair!

Prob is you just don't "openup the sim card slot" on an iPhone. Easiest to take it to Verizon and have them scan it.
