IMR3031 or IMR 4064

I've used IMR 4064 in .308 and 30-06. As above it's an extruded powder that meters like logs, but it's a capable powder.

I've had some outstanding results with it. It has great potential, but it ain't one I'd choose for high volume apps.

As Chuckdog states
it's an extruded powder that meters like logs, but it's a capable powder.

I used it 23 years ago and my powder measure (throw type) would chop the sticks in half and I had to force the handle quite a bit. It was a pain but did yield good results in .308 Winchester with 150-168 grain bullets loaded for precision rifle shooting.

There are other more powder measure friendly powders that I'll use before IMR 4064. I have not used the IMR 3031.
