I remember the event more than the place. When I was a kid, we had lots of soda fountains. Behind each counter there was a flat topped grill where the magic happened. Watching the preparation added another dimension to the goodness. Sitting six feet away listening to the sizzle, smelling the goodness, and anticipating the first bite just made everything better. A burger in a sack handed through a window just doesn't have that magic.
 
My son recently watched a tick tok of someone making deer sliders on Hawaiian rolls. I told him we would give it a try. I am going to cook me a deer burger but will scramble him some meat to let him fru fru it up.
 
I like Burger King's plain cheese burger from the value menu--two of those with ketchup make a great (and cheap)meal!
