The griptilian (regular size) is amazing. At one time they had some on Ebay for $100 with a hat. I paid like $140 for mine and the lifetime inspecting/oiling/sharpening service is amazing. Wish I didn't get the serrated blade but I just got the straight edge later on as serrated is just for heavy duty work.
I've been carrying a sog terminus, d2 steel, excellent feel and weight, good edge retention, solid action, one of the best locks on any knife ive had. Plus you'll still have $150 leftover
i picked up a crkt provoke a few months back and have been real happy with it,
they go from about 125 to a little over 200..
