How many loaded mags do you keep on hand?

OK, so the good guy in Texas who returned fire used an AR15.

I'd never expect to have that situation come up, but then again who does? I keep 2 30 round mags loaded at all times and I always thought this was sufficient. Not so sure about that anymore? :shrug:

For my 1911 Officer's edc, I keep a 7 round and 2 8 round mags loaded, of course I top off +1 when I carry.

So how many mags do you keep loaded on hand and what's your thoughts? I don't want to be paranoid and armed and ready for all-out war, but I don't want to be under-prepared either.

I keep one 30 rd mag AR and one 25 round mag for AR10. Then one mag in my nightstand pistol with a spare mag as well.

3 x 17-round Glock mags

I figure either me or the bad guy will be dead before I run through that much ammo.

All my weapons magazines have some ammo in them. Of course not all twenty ar mags but at least 1 mag in every weapon

Do Speed loaders count ?? None of my revolvers take mags

One loaded mag for an AR, which may change tonight. Then I have my small travel pack, which has 3 loaded 30 round Glock mags, and 2 loaded Glock 19 mags, they all sit nicely in a 5.11 single pistol case with my loaded Glock 19. Then the wife has her loaded Glock 17.

Then a couple EDC pistols.

Have you seen the Five Star Firearms Speed Blocks with the Speed Loaders?

150 rounds 10mm, 150 rounds .223. That's just in my truck. Lots more in my home.

Keep full kit in vehicle ( 7 total AR mags)

Keep maybe another 20 mags loaded in safe.

Usually keep 3/4 pistol mags loaded.
