Half Helmets, What kind do you wear?

Non DOT that I bought from that bike shop on 400 right before it ends. Shop is closed and gone now but maybe was Toosies??
Anyway, dressed it up with some protective stickers and good to go.

Toosies was the old shop at the top of 400. There's another good shop just north of Dahlonega, Riders Hill. Good shop and knowledgeable folks working there, and decent prices.

I don't wear half helmets. Even on my road king I wear full face year round. I just like the way I look (my face that is, not my helmet). I wear a Shoei X12 for street use.

I have considered a 3/4 helmet for just short cruises and when conditions warrant it (full summer rides). The 1/2 DOT helmets you are right look kinda dorky. The 3/4 helmets at least look reasonable. I would probably buy the HJC IS33 as it has a nice shield, plus the flip down tinted visor for sun protection. They look decent, provide more coverage and protection than any 1/2 helmet, but also keep the wind/bugs/tarmac off of your face...
