My dad hunted with it all the way up to 2014 but after he killed his first and still best long beard with it we decided to retire it. Now it’s just a wall hanger and conversation piece but it could come down and still reliably feed the family if need be.

That's awesome, don't ever let em go. I am humbly honored to be the caretaker of my grandfathers BAR, 30-06, that he bought and used from after his return from Italy (WWII) for deer hunting. Tough old bird lived to see 100, just passed to the great deer hunting grounds in the sky this past March.
