I feel very privileged to be the new caretaker of my wife’s grandpa’s guns. We moved these family heirlooms into my house yesterday. They perfectly represent everything you needed in rural Mississippi in the 1940s-60s. Multiple 22s, 12 gauges, .38 Smiths, 30/30 and 30-06. No frills, just tools for farm life. I love the period ammo as well.

Enjoy them and pass them along to the next one.

That’s awesome! I love vintage firearms. My granddad was more of a quality over quantity type so I only inherited two nice guns but nice they are (Belgium made Browning light 12 from the 70’s and a late 80’s maybe early 90’s Mark V 300 Weatherby with some Ziess glass from the same era.) Hopefully I’ll get lucky and marry into a collection like you did lol
