General Question about new buyers on the site

Does anyone else find it strange to get replys back on items for sale from someone with absolutely 0 posts? Recently put something up for sale and had someone interested but I looked over their profile first. 0 posts, comments, etc... yet they have been a member since January this year.

Does anyone else think this sounds strange?

Not at all. There are plenty of folks that avoid the lunacy of the discussion forums and stick with the classifieds. I've met some damn nice folks with very little ODT history.

You've been around over a year and just broke 100 posts.

Not really...not everyone is as gregarious as some of us. I've sold to plenty of newbies...everybody starts somewhere.

I have sold to a few like that...Had no problems...But made sure we meet in a very public spot...Home depot parking lot... in the day time...

What's crazy is when a newbie asks for bunch of pictures of item for sale and u send them and never get any kind of response back.

I just wish I could actually be successful in a purchase. The last one I attempted was a bust. I sent my neighbor with the money to meet the guy and he didn't show up. Surprise a couple days later the upper was re listed by someone else for a higher price.

Large, growing site. Def. not weird at all. I have traded with a lot of "newbs". Everyone was one at one time or another.

I know of one member that has been banned here multiple times and has a new account. He posts here everyday. Mods have been told, nobody seems to care.
