Gas Prices

It's not in ALL circumstances. And it's not just YOU that would have to pay more in taxes.

Then you better get your ass on the train brother! lol

It's been fun, but some of us don't live on EBT and government handouts. Back to work. ;)

I don't live in the city and it wouldn't benefit me....so I shouldn't have to pay for it. You want things that benefit you, then you should have to pay for it. The EBT does benefit the community because it feeds children that didn't ask to be in the position they are in. This MAY reduce crime a little, so there is a benefit. The Obama phone may enable low income people to call 911, again it MAY help the community. Mass transit could never help my community because it wouldn't be there. I don't like a socialist society but Woodrow Wilson and FDR pushed us into a sembalence of one. That was before my time. It is easy to denounce or support all Govenment programs according to what good or bad you find in them.

Many of those children only exist so that the parent(s) can collect more money each month. Someone on this thread posted a good video about this. About having another child just to get paid.
Don't think you need monthly service to call 911.

How much of that is start up costs? Will all of the those expenses be present every year? I'd expect losses until construction costs are covered.
Those are OPERATING losses even WITH the 80% subsidy. You want to talk 'start up' costs? Great, they've sunk over THREE BILLION DOLLARS (and counting) into both of those black holes!
You stated a flat out bald faced lie and it's becoming more and more apparent you have absolutely zero clue what the hell you are talking about.
You like European mass transit. I get it, great! You 'wish' we could have it America (even though it's failed every where it's been tried at collosal costs). I get it, great! I wish I had wings....

Don't forget to avoid all roads, parks, schools, rec areas, libraries, sewer, etc. Don't like dem taxes.

Roads are supposed to be funded by taxes collected at the pump by those who use said roads. There is generally a cost associated with sewer that isn't from taxes. As to the rest of those items, should not be paid for by taxes from those that don't use them.

So you believe the value of such a system stops at the profitability tab on the bottom line?

Well I guess I'd better take the dogs to the dog park and get my good outta that. Better go look at some flowers in the park while I'm at it.
