Like Virginia, South Carolina also "forgives" misdemeanors that Georgia does not for concealed carry. Take a "simple possession" charge 20 years old. Georgia - no go for life (unless pardoned)

Virginia and several other places places 5 years from date of conviction and out from under court supervision and good character -good to go. Which is why South Carolina allows Virginia with no training required, just the state issued permit. Mandated training is not the issue IIRC from conversations with a relative formerly w/ SLED.

You might want to brush up on your GA laws....Just sayin.
