front strap checkering

I would highly advise one of the panels Hayata Hayata recommended.

Checkering, much like professional stippling adds almost nothing to the resail value compared to cost, if you decide to sell in the future.
this is for a competition pistol. Don’t wanna mess around with the possibility of something moving. I like the look of real checkering too

think that'd fit on a Star BM?

You got tin snips and some sand paper? I bet that would work.

If it is a competition pistol, why spend a ton of cash on checkering. You will likely beat the gun up while competing. Back when I did compete, at a mediocre level in USPSA, skateboard tape made the most sense. It will last at least a year, then remove and reapply.

it’s a tool to me. I want to have the best thing I can. I don’t mind grinding, modifying, putting money into a pistol if I feel I am getting an improvement. I took a brand new x5 legion and took a grinder to it and put silicone carbide all over it.
