Fractal burning?

Here's mine. Built it out of a microwave transformer. It's pushing around 1400 volts. Probes are made from a fiberglass hot stick with 5KV airport cable epoxied inside for insulation. I set them up on the wood then turn the box on. Even though they are insulated quite well, I never touch the probes when they are hot. NEVER!!
The actual burn goes pretty quick, but the prep, and finishing is tedious to say the least.

I’ve got a nice table a friend of mine made. Actually stunning looking. After talking to him and reading a bit about the process, I decided to not persue this art form. Results are beautiful. Risks are dying.

A set of factory Heritage rough rider grips. They actually use pretty good wood, even on their cheaper guns…these belong to a member here, and were an experiment that ended as a win…walnut sealed in satin lacquer…

Old Ruger 10/22 Manlicher. The metal is quite nice, the wood is another story…poor finish remaining, massive dents, chips, etc.
Stripping the stain/ oil factory finish…
Learning(today) the art of the steam, for dent removal…thanks PopBwell. using sanding dust from this wood mixed with wood glue for chip repair(my first time ever)…
