I just discovered this series and have been really enjoying it.

It's set during WWII and is about an older police inspector and how the war is impacting the homefront in England.

Several of the episodes feature Spitfire footage, as the police inspector's son is a pilot in the RAF, as well as scenes with SMLE's, P14's, Webley's, 1911's, etc...

Looking at the background of the scenes has been fun and the stories are engaging...

The series is good but as it moves to the end with the newer episodes expect them to insert some Social Justice Warrior issues .02

It is an excellent series -- they went to great lengths to make it authentic, even searching out homes with the correct window style for the esr --

If you want to watch a good period correct series, try Father Brown, Brit TV

Approx. 1950. Great autos.

Interesting approach, plenty of references to Nazis, and the Red Scare.

The few times the police have to "surround" someone they are using Enfield rifles.

Quite a few of the Brit shows were good --- foyle, father brown, morse, lewis, dalglish,
daziel & pasco, Reilly ace of spies , to name a few --- not a car chase in the lot --
