Fishing on Lanier??

I'm new to fishing the Lanier area and would like to know what are good locations for shore/bank fishing since I don't have a boat. Trying to get some luck with stripers or crappies. Any tips appreciative.

Just be careful what you fish for, it seems like bodies are hot right now! JK- there are plenty of public access areas to visit. Just find a spot off the beaten path to set up.

I heard!! Not sure if I should eat the fish anywhere near my dock if I had that happen to me lol

I have not fished on the lake in years. I did fish at the river on the back side of the dam. At one time, my grandparents kept a houseboat in AAC at Flowery Branch. Spent many a summer fishing from the docks, trolling the marina and taking the boat out and parking on an island for a week. Look for deep water with good structure for crappie and deep water with channels for striper.
