I'd say the hardest mgs to repair or find replacement parts for would be Japanese WW2 guns. As far as US mgs Ruger AC guns are hard to find parts unless you can use a mini 14 part. American 180s there is someone who bought all spare parts when they closed down and he is one that tunes the guns up, there was an off manufacturers of the gun and he has had to fab parts for that type. Besides like a s&w 76 I really can't think of another us gun you'd have problems finding parts. Even if you had a Texas Mac you could send it to have it rebuilt

A M-16 RR is easy to repair or replace anything, with the exception of cracked lower. Parts are everywhere, inexpensive, and can find most used. M-16 parts kits might be as cheap as Mac parts kits if you go an army surplus route

Ive seen cracked lowers but only 1. You really gotta run it long and hard to crack a lower.
