Ordered a badger bolt knob and figured I would get someone else to install it for me but since I had it in my possession I figured I'd just try it myself. Little sketchy at first but I took my time and it went great. Not that it saved much money but I like doing things like this when I can.

Few finishing touches left but turned out great

That turned out real nice. What did you use to clean up the bolt surface and thread it?
Started with a dremel but switched to a belt sander and that worked like a champ. I knew what edge I needed straight and worked around it. Used a regular die set for the threads. The metal is pretty soft so it threads easy and the O.D. of the handle can be slightly bigger than it needs to be. The die will remove a little material.
