Disc golf

I am a descent golfer and really enjoy throwing frisbee, so I thought I would enjoy disc golf. The best part for me was being in the woods and the few beers in my backpack.
I was playing golf few days back and there were these huge golf holes just left/right of each green. After asking at the pro shop Apparently there is a such thing as soccer golf nowadays.
Or even better a Titleist!
There is a new course in Griffin that is challenging and beautiful. They had their first tournament yesterday. It is worth the drive.
Is there any courses in NW GA around Rome? Sounds pretty interesting.

To start, you need a driver and an approach/putter. Academy has a great selection to get started with. Initial cost for me was around 24 bucks. I have since purchased other disks that fly differently and do other things when a situation calls for it.
Www.infinitediscs.com is a great place to see flight paths and they explain how the numbering system works. Same goes with weight of disks and anything else you could want to know.
YouTube disk golf grips and throws to help get an idea of how to hold and release these disks.
My son has been hooked on it for years..Finds a bunch and returns them, if they have a name and a phone number on them...Hint!
