My nephew killed one a few years ago. He made pot roast in the crock pot and cooked it 24 hrs. I would rather eat my work boot, I think it would be more tender and taste better.

Damn, that’s an insult to a fine bear! I know that bears are kinda ugly and smell bad, but the resemblance only goes so far!

I had no desire to eat bear before reading this. That eliminated even the slightest chance.

Another vote for greasy here but only tried it twice . I heard stew is the best thang to do with it?
Charcoal a steak, roast in the oven in a covered pan, or ,best of all, sausage. Save the fat and render it for lard. I've killed 2. The second one got a little gamey after 6 months in the freezer. Takes a long time to eat one. I let them go now. I hunt alone mostly and they are too hard to get out of the woods.
