well....not exactly "parboiled"...BUT I typically will brown it for eye appeal....if it's just me eating, I do not waste the time, or dirty the pan.....searing doesn't do enough for me to go to the trouble, when no one else is around

MIL is teaching me how to can…20 lbs of our homegrown tomatoes…she follows a recipe on a box of salsa spices she buys with a little added touches of course.

Rice, chopped chicken and pork, tomatoes, peppers, onions, corn, Adobe seasoning and taco sauce served with the obligatory cheese on soft tortillas.
Damn good. I wish I had added

some black beans but it wasn't worth driving to the store for.
