I always get them when I'm overseas and always bring some home. I just take the bands off. Never an issue.

There are Great smokes from the Dominican republic and Nicaragua. A lot of the tobacco growers fled Cuba for these nations and took their expertise and seeds with them. As far as what is a good smoke that is an extremely hard question to answer because everybody has different tastes. I started out by just ordering the sampler packs to try a few and find a few I like. It is just like wine there's two types, the ones you like and the ones you don't.
