Direct tv is not any cheaper a year from now...but if you are willing to swap back and forth every couple years, you can rack up some serious savings...

i have been with direct for about 15 years now and love it
Dish = No Zombie 
Direct tv sucks! I've had it for two years and it time to switch back to dish network.
I use Dish.
2 of my neighbors have dish and like it but there old people , they just got a few channels and pay $25 a month my wife wants dvr and all the bells and whistles , soap net and all that bull**** , so for the money Directv is the cheapest of the two

I just turned my U-Verse off. Now I'm saving about $150 a month not watching TV at all. Its kinda nice.
Oh yeah. I use Comcast internet. Every time they raise the price, I call and threaten to quit and they give me the customer salvaging department. They put me on an introductory bargain plan for another 6 months. Might give it a try.
