I'm carrying a gun that I've owned for 9 months, but only fired about 30 rounds through so far. It's only seen 2 trips to the range, and I did most of my shooting with other guns.
(but it's a J-frame S&W, so I know it works and I'm familiar with the style. Owned many of them over the years.)
I've probably got 200 "rounds" of dry fire practice.
The revolver has Crimson Trace laser grips, so the light comes on as I put a firm grip on the weapon, but at least my practice gets me used to how the gun "feels" in my hand as it lines-up with the target. It now comes up in line with the target smoother and faster than it did at first, months ago.
