Cold drills.

I'm carrying a gun that I've owned for 9 months, but only fired about 30 rounds through so far. It's only seen 2 trips to the range, and I did most of my shooting with other guns.
(but it's a J-frame S&W, so I know it works and I'm familiar with the style. Owned many of them over the years.)

I've probably got 200 "rounds" of dry fire practice.
The revolver has Crimson Trace laser grips, so the light comes on as I put a firm grip on the weapon, but at least my practice gets me used to how the gun "feels" in my hand as it lines-up with the target. It now comes up in line with the target smoother and faster than it did at first, months ago.

So, how many cold drill reps have you done in the last 48 hours? Dry fire, Draw, Reloads etc.?

Shooting skills are very perishable and most of them can be done in your home without firing a shot.

I did several last night with my new trigger in the G35. I didn't even know it but while watching Z nation I was I was getting a front sight picture on the targets while in bed with the lil woman. finally shes like ummm you can stop doing that now. lmbo.

I've done several in the past week, and some live fire drills. But it was all done for class for my yearly weapons certification for work.
