Sounds like you need to read an owners manual. Most weapons can fairly easily be cleaned with a rod from breech to muzzle if properly disassembled for cleaning.
To what weapons are you referring ?

surprised to see my thread pop back up. well, one handgun comes to mind. my Ruger single six. you can take the cylinder out in 15 seconds but you still don't have any room to work a rod. no big deal. i'll just keep cleaning from the muzzle. thanks.
