Byte Stryke did me a huge favor - A true 1911 Expert

Good man! Every guy on these forums that I have met has been a stand up individual. :thumb:

That is very true. And there are all kinds of guys on this forum. But we all treat each other with respect. I did my first Craig's List deal a month ago, the guy gets out of his sparkling BMW, pony tail, expensively dressed, and he tries to knock $15 off the price at the meeting. It was already dirt cheap, I had several people offer to buy it, he was first. I was horribly profane - why I don't carry, but the jist of my complaint to him was "you can't possibly be serious"

Never once here.

The Trigger bar Lever was installed at the full rotated position BEHIND the Plunger lever.
So when he pulled the trigger, the trigger bar lever was never actuating the plunger bar lever and pressing on the firing pin plunger

Black lines show the approximate position of the trigger bar lever.

as far as the fix, it was simple enough.
Frank is a nice Guy, and I always love tinkering with a firearm.
Just nervous as hell tinkering with someone else's relatively new Colt.

And his wife is one helluva cook.

Still thinking of the panchet or whatever it was she brought to the Sweetwater M&G. Yum!
