Never done that for a firearm, high quality duelly tires, furniture and stuff like that I have. Just make sure it's paid off while it's still promotional or it will be expensive! That said I'd be a bit peeved if they sold the loan off right away and made me deal with someone else.

So I did the 90 days same as cash thing with Credova through buds gun shop. The very next day they sold my account to Monterey Financial. I am calling Monterey today when they open to pay off the loan 29 days after I originaly opened the loan with Credova. I have read reviews on Monterey and they are all negative. All of them. I am worried now that this isn't going to go well.

So I just wanted to give you guys a heads up and don't do the 90 days same as cash with Buds gun shop or you may end up screwed just as I may end up being.

Good tip to be aware of. Home loans are often the same thing. 60 days after buying a house, the bank you financed through will sell your loan to Fannie Mae or some other place. IMO all loans are a scam of some sort, just to make the lender more money than they would have gotten.

I'm not sure I understand the concern. The terms of the agreement should not have changed. As long as you pay it off before any interest or fees acrue then you got to use their money free for a few months.

If you just have to finance a gun purchase, your best bet is to take out a 18 months no interest credit card on promotion, pay it off before the 18months is over and cut it up when you are done.

Yep. My mortgage was sold within about 60 days... Terms stayed the same, just sending my payment to a different company.

Ours was sold within the first 30 days, before the first bill was even due! crazy.

I just paid it off with a debit card out of my checking account. They said they will send me a payoff confirmation in 5-10 minutes by email. nearly 1500 dollars. They said it will take 24 hours to process the payment? Why does it take 24 hours to process a debit card?

If I don't receive the payoff in 15 minutes I will let you know.
