A lot of bridges in the USA are on their way out. They were built with good quality but still with a life span. Thing is it costs money to update them.

Look at all those wheels on what i can only guess are trailers ?? With 30-50+ wheels ??!! WTF were they hauling, how many were there and was it within weight ratings for that bridge?? Does not look like any trailers on US highways .

I THINK that is a transformer they were hauling. Have seen one or two trailers in the USA like that hauling transformers. Super heavy.

us individual states are responsible for bridge inspections/maintenance. each bridge gets a rating and scheduled for rehab or rebuild. the state then uses federal funds for the construction part. but, of course, things fall behind schedule...
