You ain't wrong Brother. I pretty much grew up on that track. Some of the best memories I have.

We were there a lot of Sat nights, on the fence, siting in the bed of our truck...drinking beer, eating chicken and watching the cars run.
Sometimes i would walk up to the stands and get into the dollar bets with the brothers !
That was a fun place. Shame it closed

Yeah, I have good friends that ran the Dallas concession stand for 20+ years.
The left lane had a bump/dip almost at the finish line that would put the car airborne if ya' hit it near 100 mph...

Did you ever go to the old braynerd strip? I went there with some buddies probably in the 90s and was just ruins left, honestly it was so narrow I don't see how they went down it.

I use to race Calhoun and Dallas for years, I miss Dallas the most, good times their.

Last time i was at a ‘sanctioned’ drag race was before they closed Dallas dragstrip.
That place was the bomb !!

I loved being able to back the truck up to the fence!

After Dallas closed we mostly ran Silver Dollar or Commerce...and once or twice a year at SC House of Hook.
