Best for night vision???

Depends, do you want identify or detect threats? In the home or on your property? A good helmet mounted PVS-14 paired with an IR laser is an option or if you're looking to detect, get a good thermal. Major pros and cons to both. If it's a bump in the night inside your home or immediate perimeter, super strong white light all day. You have to remember, NVD's require training and just because you have it, doesn't make you super human. Someone with a white light and good tactics can defeat a noob with NV any day of the week. Try wearing nods at night and let me hit you with a white light ... could be useless unless you know what you're doing.

I used to think a combination of both, but now thermal scopes ($4000-$5000) are so good, that you really don't need NV unless you need to go on a budget.
