Bass and crappie at Charlie Elliott?

Anyone ever fish the Charlie Elliott WMA for bass and crappie? I have read a few tips around the web, people saying the smaller lakes are better for the most part, especially for shore fishing (no boat for me yet ). Any tips of bait or locations? Was planning to drop a crappie rig on one pole with live bait and use crankbait on another.

There are some big bass (don't know about crappie), but they can be hard to catch. My best bass came from one of the lakes and don't forget that the second largest bass ever caught in Georgia came from another one of the lakes. There is some limited shore fishing, but most lakes are great to drop a Belly Boat into.
