My Mom still gives me $20 or so for "spending money" when she visits and tries to buy groceries for us. My wife and I probably make more money than my parents ever have. After having kids for a few years myself, I finally figured out that she just wants to feel like she's still taking care of me so I accept whatever she offers with gratitude.

Moms are the best. Be good to yours!

Mine is the same way. I tried to turn things down in the past until one day my sister said "never take the gift out of a gift". I now understand and I am thankful for all my gifts. God bless our families!
