Ar9 out of battery discharge

I ditched the magwell adapter and went with Mean Arms endo mags

Anyone else have some input. I did find the buffer detent was bent pretty bad but I’m having a hard time seeing how that would cause an out of battery discharge. Thanks

Possibility of the firing pin is/was stuck in the forward position?? You may have had a slam fire, which has out of battery detonation tendency. Look at the bolt head and see if firing pin is slightly sticking proud of the bolt face. Strip the bolt down, give a good cleaning and lube as required.

Ok the round cleared the barrel and the case was blown apart.

I am thinking the bullet didn't completely go into the chamber. Either to long or had a buldge in the case but it had to be close to closed as it cant fire it the bolt isnt almost closed.

Not can't...shouldn't.

Nope we were all shooting 9's, maybe one shot a .40 for a minute.

I was shooting a steel target and the shot prior was a hit, then the out of battery. Once I cleared the gun the first thing I did was check the barrel to make sure it wasn't blocked.

I did clean it after this happened. The firing pin wasn't very dirty or damaged. I'm really at a loss
