This thing seems strange to me. Their ad says that it is not considered a "firearm" yet it obviously is designed to lob a projectile out of the barrel.

It it what it is. It has a special upper that redirects the gas from the blank into the tube. Kind of like a air cannon.

Yeah, they can make and sell the uppers but you connect to a functioning lower and I think you've just made yourself an AOW.

I'm just guessing though.
