BG is a chemical company that sells directly to shops. I am curious if anyone has experience with them? If you work at a shop or if the shop you use uses them.

A good friend of mine works for them. I've used the oil treatment and fuel injector cleaner. Fuel injector seemed to work well but no real input on the oil treatment. Yukon didn't blow up and it's got 305,000 Mike's on it.

I used them for years , never had a problem with them . The injection cleaner was good but we used it with a machine that power washed them also. I have used their oil treatment, trans flush and treat, radiator treatment, etc.,
As a mechanic, we were given incentives to sell the product though. There were different color chips/tokens in each product and the BG guy would give us cash when he came around.

It's both..The fuel injection cleaner works better than other products I have used. The A/C and power steering additive I have seen them quiet down old pumps and compressors. But it is NOT a new car in a can by any stretch of the imagination.
I was just curious. Our shop is taking on their products. If Im gonna sell something I will only sell it if I believe in it. I dont want to sell it because a sales rep says it works or because they pay per can. So far my research shows it seems to be legit. I am thankful for the feedback and look forward to more.

I also have good luck with liqui-moly fuel injector cleaner and I like it too.

The products seem to have a good reputation. I'm sure some of the products are worthwhile and some are just a product to sell. We will weed out the good from the bad. It will just take a little time. The kid that is also a service writer is on fire selling a $16 can of air freshener with every cabin air filter. Not my gig. We work differently. I know jobs by the person he knows them by the car it's a different approach.
