Single shot shotgun does have one advantage. If by chance you are over powered or intruder gets to it first you only have to dodge one shot as you flee the scene.The break-open single shot shotguns are a "good deal" for $99, sure, but WHY would you want a single-shot break-open shotgun, especially a cheap one with a stiff action and a heavy trigger pull?
That's also why owner should not have one of those stretchable shell holders
with 5 or more extra shells on the stock. Place it on your forearm instead which
is just as accessible but if you must flee the extra shells flee with you.
