Yeah, I agree...but the more I think about it, the more impossible it becomes. Surely that much powder would not be able to burn by the time that small a projectile left the barrel. So you're talking about a ludicrous fireball which just means wasted velocity. And then a bullet that small traveling that fast? Surely it would tumble wildly, right?
Yeah it would be a sooty mess and would probably powder the bullet out of the barrel but a .17/.50BMG Guthrie Improved sounds like a great cartridge to me.
Dang, I thought this was a liquid libation thread. 
.17 Super Pee Wee was formed using a .219 Zipper cartridge.
