Aha! OK, thanks. Maybe I do want to try to activate this thing. It came on the house, but there's no way to reset it to work with my network, without a bunch of privacy invasion by Ring.

There's a factory reset on the doorbell, but you will need the right star-head driver to get the cover off w/o breaking it. You should be able to find the connection instructions online after that... Or if I remember right the app will actually walk you through it.
