Does it really costs $2000 to install a 40gal gas water heater, with new shut off valves for gas and water ?
My daughter is having one done by a reputable company....just sounds high to me. But what do i know? I am just a grumpy-out of touch- old man ! LOL.

Last time I needed one (10+yrs ?) I went and got one for $400 + $50 for new valves and installed it myself.
Im just too old and crippled up to do that anymore. You cant get anyone to return favors anymore it seems. Lol.
