At first glance, my reaction was what dumb@ss man wears pajama pants on a commercial flight? But after viewing the clip and seeing how reasonable the man in question acted, I really can't see how they could have escalated it to the point that he now faces up to 4yrs in prison. The airline itself said they had no written dress code policy, and the man broke no law, so why did they hassle the poor man to start with? Just another case of abuse of power! Sadly, we're are seeing this almost on a daily bases now, it's like the world has gone mad, or at least all the low life scums have crawled out of the gutter emboldened by the One that does not respect the U.S. Constitution, even though he took an oath to uphold it.

Ironically, six days later, this man was allowed to fly on the same airline dressed like this:

He definitely seemed level-headed on the plane, but the issues apparently stemmed from his actions after being escorted off. Now, yes I think it was BS that he was singled out for his attire. A safety issue? How so? So he was given instructions by the crew (not sure what those instructions were, maybe to change clothes?), he didnt comply, so they escorted him off the plane.

Once he was off the plane officers tried to cuff him and he resisted. That was not a good idea. I don't care who you are, resisting arrest is resisting arrest. That part of it is on him, and as far as I can tell, that is what he is being charged for. If he went quietly who knows if he would be charged with anything, maybe the trespassing? As it stands though, here is how I see the situation:

- He was flying home from a funeral and wanted to be comfortable so he wore pajama pants

- Someone on the plane, for whatever reason, didnt like it

- Crewmembers asked him to do something repeatedly and he refused. Not sure what they asked him, maybe to change his clothes or to leave the plane. Not sure. In the end though, they asked, he said no.

- He was escorted from the plane. So far, everyone stayed level headed

- While in the terminal they attempt to cuff him. He refuses to be cuffed. This is where he starts resisting.

- He is subdued and arrested for trespassing, battery and interfering with police

I'm not sure where the citizens arrest part comes in, or what the crewmembers were asking of him to begin with, but overall I would say he is just a guy standing up for his rights. It just sucks that he resisted arrest and is being charged with battery, he should have gone quietly and fought it in court, assuming they arrested him in the end at all.

I didn't see what he was wearing, will assume it was as described. Sucks if the pilot singled him out for pajama pants.

Agree with Jsquared that his problem is because he resisted deplaning when told, then resisted arrest with the cops.

it sound like the issue stemmed from his PJs being worn so low while he was boarding, he was exposing himself. Sounded like he is saying he couldn't pull them up because his hands were full.

I seriously doubt they singled him out just because he was wearing pj bottoms. I fly weekly, pj bottoms are not an uncommon sight on a US flight.

didn't know wearing pj's on a plane was a 'right.'

Right to be free and left alone when the guy's not doing anything to hurt anyone. Girls wear PJs everywhere these days and nobody bothers them. Besides, in the article, the airline admitted they had no dress code policy. The guy apologized a million times and the pilot just had to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I'm just tired of these AHs with a little bit of power because they work for the gov't or have a govt license trampling on people over nothing.

Then the same people let that cross dresser on and won't say a thing because it would be politically incorrect. I bet if I told the crossdresser to put some clothes on, they'd throw me off the plane.
