100% of the planets we have explored have life so its logical to assume that at least all the planets that fit the characteristics of the one we have explored do also have life. it would likely be an incorrect assumption but it is more logical then to assume that the 1 we have explored is the exception and different from all others.Life is known to exist on ONE planet therefore it is 'solid' that exists elsewhere? That's not the way probability and statistics works.
